Sonia Burgos Crannage is a graduate of the Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center of Touro College where she received her Juris Doctor in 1987. She was admitted to the New York Bar in 1988.

Burgos Crannage was the former New York State coordinator for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. She has lectured on issues concerning the elderly and the disabled at CUNY Law School, Suffolk Academy of Law, C. W. Post College, Hofstra University, various accounting associations, parent organizations, and Senior Citizen centers. She was Of Counsel to the Garnerville, New York law office of Ferraro & Zugibe and recently relocated from the law firm of Sichol and Hicks, PC in Suffern, New York where she was an Associate Attorney for sixteen years. She is a sought after expert public speaker on the subject of Elder Law and issues concerning the disabled appearing on local and national television (Dateline NBC), numerous radio stations (WRCR and WMCA in New York and WGBB, WLIM and WRIV on Long Island), and in the local and national press (The New York Times, Newsday, People Magazine).
Burgos Crannage is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades in recognition of her contributions to the community including, the Robert Hodgson/Augustus Jacobs Law Award (NYSARC Inc.), Paul Harris Fellow Award (The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International), North Rockland Rotarian of the Year Award (2007), Pride of Rockland Award (2002).
